Role

Art Director

When I was first hired at Reflexions, a digital agency with a 20-year history and a focus on providing development and backend services, I was tasked with building the company's internal design resources. Along with staffing out a team of UX and UI designers, redesigning the Reflexions website was a high priority. The design system we put in place attractively literalized the name of the company to enhance the visual presentation of the brand and our work, building a reflective axis stretching vertically down most pages at larger breakpoints. Further exploration of this theme led to animating a mirror in the hero space of most pages to add interest and make our use of assets more flexible. This redesign was focused on maintaining and expanding our client base, establishing a good working relationship between a new internal design team and established development and business development teams, and more effectively attracting new hires across disciplines.
